U.S. Chamber Statement on Democrats Federal Privacy Principles
WASHINGTON D.C. – Tim Day, senior vice president, U.S. Chamber’s Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC), issued the following statement today in response to Senate Democrats unveiling a new set of data privacy principles:
“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly urges Congress to pursue a bipartisan national privacy law that equally protects all Americans. Both Republicans and Democrats agree that giving consumers certainty about how their data is used and shared is critical. We will not achieve that goal unless both parties work together.”
