Senate Self Driving Car Legislation Staff Draft
The Senate Commerce Committee just released their staff discussion draft of the self-driving car legislation.
A note from the committee on the draft, “provisions highlighted in brackets “[example]” represent provisions under ongoing consideration or multiple options put forward by one or more office for discussion. Such provisions have not been finalized, do not necessarily reflect agreement, and may not ultimately be included when legislation is introduced. Other changes or additions to the remaining text prior to introduction are also possible.”
The committee is seeking feedback on this draft which we will compile from our members. They are expected to introduce legislation later this month. If you would like to submit your thoughts or comments, please to send Julie Stitzel by COB Wednesday.
